ArboStar's "Calculations" section is a powerful tool for managing payroll processing and ensuring accurate and timely payments to employees.
With its user-friendly interface and robust functionality, you can easily track employee hours, calculate overtime pay, and generate detailed pay stubs.
This feature streamlines the process of updating employee information, as it eliminates the need to individually edit each employee's pay rate or hours worked.
To access the "Calculations" section, navigate to "Personnel" → "Payroll" → "Calculations".
The list can be filtered based on the time periods. You can either use the arrows to access the previous or next payroll weeks or you can choose the time period from the calendar.
To access the required time period from the calendar, simply click on the "Date" field. From the calendar you can either choose the time period or click on "Today" to access the current payroll information.
In a row under the date you can see the overall regular pay hours and overtime hours for all the employees, the overall deductions for all the employees, the overall salary for all the employees and the approved sum of salary for all the employees for the time period chosen.
Note that if you click on the "Regular Pay Hours" section you will be directed to the "Overtime" section and vice versa.
You can edit hours and rates from the list rather than separately for every employee, helping you save a significant amount of time and effort.
This can help to minimize errors and reduce the time required to update employee information.
You can edit or add employee's regular and overtime hours, hourly and overtime rates as well as add expenses and deductions. Based on these criteria the salary will automatically be calculated.
To edit the regular hours, hourly rate, overtime hours or overtime rate, fill out the new hours/rate in the appropriate fields.
To add expenses or deductions, click on the "Plus" sign under the required one.
After clicking on the "Plus" sign fill out the required information in the pop-up window.
After editing the information and editing all the fields required, go ahead and click on the "Approve" button to save the changes and approve the payroll for the employee.
If you want to undo the editing that you have made manually, click on the "Undo" button.
If you have made changes to more than 1 employee payroll information, you can tick the box that is in front of "User List". This will automatically tick all the employees that you have made changes to. If you don't want to include a user, just untick the box. After, click on the "Approve Selected" button in the top right corner.
After approval, "Actions" button appears. If you click on it, you get several options:
- Click on "Add Extras" if you need to add extra hours for the employee.
- Click on "Print PDF" to access the payroll information for the employee for the chosen time period. In the new window you can also download or print the file by clicking on the buttons in the top right corner.
- Click on "Cancel" to cancel the previous approval of the edits enabling you to re-edit the information.
From the "Payroll Overview" section in the top of the page you can download the list in different formats as well as change the settings:
If you want to access the PDF file of approved payroll calculations, click on the "Print" icon.
In the new window you can either print or download it.
You can also access the payroll overview in PDF or CSV formats. For that click on the "Net" icon in the top right corner and choose the required option.
